Yesway Reaches $200,000 Fundraising Goal for Communities

Affected by New Mexico’s South Fork and Salt Wildfires Through

With an initial commitment to donate $100,000, Yesway launched this campaign to extend support and aid to the New Mexico communities in and around Ruidoso – which are among the communities the company serves in the state – that were deeply impacted as the result of catastrophic wildfires.

Sixth annual event celebrates first responders while raising funds for disaster relief

Held annually on July 24, 24/7 Day was created to highlight the partnership between first responders and convenience stores. To help the company achieve its goal of raising $200,000 in total for those affected, Yesway and Allsup’s customers, fans, friends, and supplier partners will be able to join these efforts and donate as well.

Through July 31, 2023, Yesway and Allsup’s customers are invited to make $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 (or larger) donations at checkout to benefit the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico.

As reported by the Las Cruces Sun News, the South Fork Fire, which started on June 17 inside the Lincoln National Forest and on Mescalero Apache Tribal lands, and the Salt Fire, burned in southern New Mexico and had consumed nearly 23,000 acres by June 18. Mandatory evacuation of residents and tourists from the communities of Ruidoso, Mescalero and Ruidoso Downs, which are located between the fires and in proximity to where five local Allsup’s stores serve as community hubs, were instituted as the fire raged on. The truly devastating effects of the wildfires are still to be tallied.

Yesway’s Texas Strong Fundraising Campaign Achieves $200,000 Charitable Donation Goal in Partnership
with Supplier Partners and Customers

Donations will benefit local charities and civic organizations in Matador, Hawley, and Perryton, Texas, whose communities were tragically impacted by recent tornadoes.

(FORT WORTH, Texas – August 23, 2023) – Yesway, one of the country’s fastest-growing convenience store chains, today announced that through the generosity of its supplier partners, and loyal Yesway and Allsup’s customers and employees, it has achieved the $200,000 goal it had set for its latest Texas Strong fundraising campaign.

Yesway launched the Texas Strong fundraising campaign with an initial commitment to donate $100,000 to extend support and aid to the communities affected by the catastrophic tornadoes that struck the towns of Matador, Hawley, and Perryton, Texas in late June, which are among the communities the company serves in the state.

“We deeply empathize with the hardships the people of Matador, Perryton, and Hawley are facing, and this contribution is intended to help alleviate some of the more immediate burdens and provide a steppingstone towards recovery and rebuilding,” said Tom Trkla, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yesway.
